System Identification & Audit

We visit your property and audit every component — processors, keypads, touchscreens, network equipment, and wiring. We identify the brand, model, firmware version, and current state of every device. You'll get a full written report.

If your previous installer kept the passwords, we recover or reset access to your Crestron, Lutron, or Control4 processor. We obtain or recreate the programming files and take a full system backup so you're never locked out again.

Yes. We're certified across Crestron, Lutron, and Control4 — the three platforms used in the vast majority of professional UK installations. We take over systems from other installers every week. It doesn't matter who installed it, how old it is, or what state it's in.

This is very common with orphaned systems. We can gain access to any Crestron, Lutron, or Control4 processor — even without the original passwords. For Crestron and Control4, we can recover or reset access at the hardware level. For Lutron, we can connect directly to the processor and retrieve the configuration. You don't need any documentation from your previous installer.

Almost never. Professional smart home hardware is built to last 10-15 years. In the vast majority of takeover cases, the hardware is fine — it just needs proper programming, maintenance, and someone who actually answers the phone. We fix what's broken and maintain what's working.

We start with a system audit, which is a fixed-fee visit where we document everything and provide a detailed report with recommendations. From there, we quote for any remedial work needed. Most takeovers involve a day or two of engineering time to resolve existing faults and bring the system up to standard, followed by an ongoing maintenance contract.

The smart home installation industry in the UK is largely made up of small companies — often just two or three people. Yes. Once we've completed the initial audit and takeover, we set up secure remote access to your system. This allows us to diagnose and resolve many issues without visiting site — often within hours of you reporting a problem. Remote support is included in all our maintenance contracts.

We understand the concern. Unlike many small installers, we document every system thoroughly and provide you with full access to your own programming files and passwords. If you ever needed to move to another support provider, you'd have everything needed. We also offer multi-year maintenance contracts that give you confidence we'll be here for the long term.
